House of Sin
When someone realizes his true “natural” freedom, something that truly deviates from the social and moral convention, then he becomes a sinner.
That’s always the case. The only opportunity that the mouse can play is when the cat is away. So, when we announce our travel to Davao to our housemates, I can see the smiles on their faces. It seems they see some window of opportunity. As if ...
Ike: yo. the cat is away na pala. hehehe
Trip: bakit? ngayon mo lang nalaman? hehehe
Ike: oo. ngayon lang. kelan bakin nyo?
Trip: bukas. hehehe
Hahaha
True. Every housemate has imbibed the basic character of liberalism. Each can really do whatever he wants unless another would object violently. Each can watch TV, cook, do laundry, use the wi-fi connection, make and receive phone calls, and receive guests. We do not even care if one would see another in a sexual activity. Thus, the cliché is really irrelevant inside the apartment and to the housemates.
Someone give the apartment a moniker “house of sin”. I am not sure how he would define it but I guess it has to do with the sexual environment. Perhaps he associated sex to sin which really an irony considering the experience he had in the apartment. In another perspective, when someone realizes his true “natural” freedom, something that truly deviates from the social and moral convention, then he becomes a sinner to that convention. In that respect, the apartment could really be a “house of sin”.
