Bangkero

Spotted a boatman carrying his paraw (sailboat) in Boaracay. A fascinating scene because he was carrying it like a cow carrying its yoke. However, instead of catching a grimace because of the load, there is no emotion on the face as if he was used to this kind of task each day.

Flash: Two Men Facing Infidelity Charges

Another crime of passion was committed in the vicinity of Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City, yesterday when two men were caught in the act of carnal consummation. The crime happened between 8:00 and 9:00 AM while the lone witness was sleeping on the same couch where the scene of the crime took place.

Foolish Love

And then they were dead. The two teens, assumed to be lovers, who were brought to a hospital due to gunshot wounds succumb to death. It is sad but hey, life is not all about living till one reach his or her oldest age. Sometimes life is cut short for some reasons that others think could be foolish. Yet, who are we to judge them?

Love: Ideal or Practical

“My heart has four chambers.” That was the reason I made to my Fil-Am girlfriend when she asked me “Bakit apat kami sa puso mo?”. That was the lamest reason I could think during that time. Perhaps I said that because I wanted to end our relationship already but in contrary, it did not. She actually lavished me with gifts and proposals to win me over. Was that real love?

Being Old and Sad?

“I saw this old gay guy, about in his late fifty’s or early sixty’s, sitting across me while I am in a bus going here to your place. I was looking at him and I could see how sad his face was. I should have minded my own business but I come to think and ask myself, would I suffer the same fate?” A friend relayed his encounter during a drinking session. He then asked me, “How would you see yourself upon reaching that same age?”

Crazy, Stupid Love

“Full moon ba ngayon at tila maalon ang karagatan.” That was last week. When I look up at the sky, I saw no full moon, only nearly full. That was kind of a relief since most people I know that week seemed to be crazy and stupid about love. Some were nearly falling out, some were avoiding falling in, while some were going at it just for the heck of it. As for me, well I guess I always try to be on top (pun intended) of it.

Chia Seeds

“Kung malunggay ang super food ng Pilipinas, chia seed naman ang sa Australia.” The marketing person of chia Philippines said. Indeed. What else can a marketer say of its own product? It’s all good, nonetheless. I made my own research and so far there are no studies to rebut the claim and therefore, I’m one of those who fell in line to buy the product perhaps just to try it myself. With good food, I’ll risk my bucks.

Satiation Point

People have their satiation points, that is, the point when one is fully satisfied with something that they start to lessen the demand for it and look for other alternatives. This is the reason why I crave for other food to substitute with chicken inasal because I am already too accustomed to its taste that I already find it unsatisfying. The demand for other alternatives, however, may not always mean a total and permanent replacement of the original demand but rather a temporary state of satisfaction. If one can lessen its demand of one thing, then would it be possible that one can also feel the satiation point to another person?

Samsung Customer Service

My Samsung GT-8500 comes to life again for the second time. Thanks to my own initiative and my housemate’s because if not on my belief that I could resurrect my phone, I would have abandoned it if not made it the most expensive paper weight in the world. However, I would not let the Samsung customer service escape my indignation on how they nearly duped me of my hard-earned money.

Serendipity

There are some words, including curses, I really like to avoid using, and one of them is “serendipity”. Why not? This word I already associated with romance and I am not a romantic guy. Thinking of this word gives me goose bumps but hell, sometimes one could not really avoid some things so I might as well use it. Maybe this would be the first and last time I’ll use it.

astig sa astig - negotiation

opposite pole attract while similar ones repel. that's basic physics and probably we are all aware of that. but is it applicable to humans that have the complexity of behavior depending on the stimulus presented to them? do humans have the propensity to react simply in black and white just like any matter does?

Budgetary Needs

I miss running and I am blaming it on the staggering registrations fees of organized runs. Lame justification? Sure, but joining these organized runs is a motivation for me to run, may it be recreationally or competitively. Isn’t it enough to have fitness as a motivation to continue running?

Kaibigan

Maharot, mapusok, at mapagbigay.

Extra! Extra!

Been a while. Yes, and many are already curious how I have been or what is new with my trippings. Others even speculated that my relationship is on the rocks. Well, for the information of both my friends and detractors, all’s well with the Tripper. It has to be. It’s just that I am too busy and (not just “or”) too lazy to blog but... not today. Hehehe.

Protect Yourself

Special Friend

Who can ever give the harshest advice to love problems other than me? No one else and I know that. But it is necessary to make the other party realize that love in itself is harsh. That is reality.

Evolution of a Homosexual Blind Man

While riding a bus going to work, I spotted a blind man walking along Estrella and EDSA. Ahead of him, I saw a considerable concrete protrusion. I was not bothered if he can overcome the obstacle because I am confident that he is capable considering he has a walking stick with him. True to my expectation, using his stick, the blind man traverse the sidewalk unchallenged.

Gender Generic

Parents or society must not dictate what a child's role should be.”

If you are to choose your gender, what would it be? Perhaps you would choose the other than the one you are now. Unfortunately, there’s really nothing you can do now because from the time you were born, there is already an ascribed gender for you based on what is visible between your legs. You are a boy or man because you have a penis, a girl or a woman because you have a vagina

The RH Bill Debate

And so the debate’s still on with the Church, particularly the CBCP, spearheading the anti-RH campaign. I don’t get it. Why is it that the Church continues on defying the very basic of human nature, that is, humans are capable of making a choice?

Early Retirement

I guess everyone thinks that having a “body to die for” is very advantageous to get the nicest cut if not the best in the meat market. Well, that’s true. Only people who are in denial would disagree to that. Perhaps this is the reason why many in the PLU world desire to achieve that kind of physique.

Parrots

I should have noted the real names of these birds. Yeah, we can call them simply as parrots but wouldn't it be nice if we are accurate? There are parakeets (lovebirds), cockatoos, macaws, etc. that share similar characteristics. Taken from the Crocodile Farm in Davao City.

This is My Body

After a 10 day business and pleasure trip to Davao City, I feared that I had gained some weight. My housemate confirmed it but I still had to validate it with some reliable and more objective measuring device, the weighing scale. Fortunately, our gym is still open last Wednesday so I was still able to work-out and weigh and the verdict, I mean reality, smack me on my face.

The very first day we (with HB) arrived in Davao City, I started to browse from the internet the places that may interest us. Fortunately, he had some spare time to accompany us.

House of Sin

When someone realizes his true “natural” freedom, something that truly deviates from the social and moral convention, then he becomes a sinner.

That’s always the case. The only opportunity that the mouse can play is when the cat is away. So, when we announce our travel to Davao to our housemates, I can see the smiles on their faces. It seems they see some window of opportunity. As if ...

True Beauty

Caught in the Act?

In evolution, everything that is useless starts to disappear.

Every part of the body needs an exercise. Kahit pa nga iyung internal organs natin eh kelangan naisa-subject sa physical workout gaya ng ating baga at puso. I think I am clear that when I say every part of the body, I mean all and that includes the appendage protruding from our crotch called the “penis”, “cock”, or “dick”.

Twinkle Twinkle

The gay community makes use of jargons or terminologies to hide specific behaviour and characteristic peculiar to the group. There are hundreds of them, or even thousands. Some of them that are widely and openly used are perhaps the “top”, “bottom”, and “versa”. Applicable only to homosexuals I guessed, only the gay-friendly straight people would have understood them. Moreover, another term which is really my point of interest here is “twinks”. I first encountered it in gay stories I read. It refers to guys or men who are in their twenties.

Eccentricities

A housemate of ours got locked out for five-hours of our apartment and the culprit is no other than his own roommate. As a result, the poor guy nearly was not able to go to work for lack of sleep. I guess this is the worst, as far as I know, of what the culprit did to his roommate. Normally, the former would always hide the remote control from him.

Bandit Running

Last January 25, 2011, I visited Takbo.ph website to inquire information on the Condura Skyway Marathon. The first thing I checked was the registration fee because this has become my first requirement if the run is worth joining. As expected, the 10k run fee is too expensive at P950. If you are a practical runner, you would never settle to this unreasonable pricing. Anyway, joining a race these days is a matter of choice. When I am about to leave the site, there is something that got my attention.

My Own Medicine

I watched him doing this and thought, “Eto ba ang tinatawag na ‘muscle worship’?”

Who would expect that I would finally made an encounter with myself during my last visit to my favourite cinema. No, it’s not out of desperation because of the absence of possible market. Rather, I met someone who is like just me when I was still starting to explore the world of my sexuality. He was uptight, naive, and maybe confused.

Review: Masikip sa Tatlo

Giving an ounce of chance for a turn of event, no matter how impossible to the average person, is real.

Three is a crowd. This is a rule that is often observed when a third wheel or person suddenly comes into the picture. A joke it may be considered but it has become an observation that the third party is always the source of conflict of an existing relationship. However, with today’s sexual liberation this is becoming a cliché for more and more people are slowly considering the idea of experiencing it.

Association has rules and that rules are or could be curtailing someone's rights.

And I thought blogging is a self-expression medium. The attempt of some groups to have a national bloggers’ association is rubbish. Associations are always bounded by rules and by rules come restrictions. Blogging has become an individuals’ expression and once you bound it that means you are curtailing someone’s freedom. Whoever thought of that has the mind of a politician or an autocrat.

Ka-trip

Someone sent me a message in PR asking for the reason why I don’t like effems and chubs because I said in my profile “ayoko sa effems at chubs na ka-trip”. I asked him why he was asking, “Are you making a survey on this?” He said he was just curious and would like to know the reason aside from the “preference” thing. I did not reply back for I may say something he would not like and perhaps could only boil an argument.

The Two Towers

Life does not revolve around you. You are one silly, egocentric, and narcissistic prick.

They are not the towers in Mordor and Isengard of the Middle Earth. They are all fiction. What I am referring to are the two known ( I assume) towers in the PLU world. The towers which when mentioned, every PLU would just nod their head and probably would say, “What else do you expect?” These are the towers that are located almost at the center of the entire metropolis and could well become the seat of PLUs government.

A Case of Love and Priority

We always translate our actions in the context of the society or with the people around us. We think of the norms, mores, and laws. From here we derive our concept of what is wrong and what is right. Everytime we act, we put it against these standards. As a result, we failed to examine what and how we really feel, denying ourselves of what should and must be at our personal perspective. If we feel love, then love. It doesn’t matter how other people interpret it. What does matter is you have given yourself the freedom of loving someone even if it is socially unacceptable.

I am twirling the USB cable with my thumb and index finger trying to figure out what to write in this entry. The truth is I should not be writing since I have some work to finish and besides, my mind is telling me that I have nothing to write, but at the same time some part of it is telling me that there is and the only problem why I could not proceed is that, how would I address this entry to ensure that there is some good insight I could derive from whatever I would be writing. Thus, till this time, there is a battle going on inside me.

It is so easy to be overwhelmed by feats of other men without realizing that basically all men are born equally (with the exceptions of the few) in terms of physical attributes. State of Jealousy

“Would you allow your partner to have sex with him?” James asked me during a drinking session with my partner around and two other friends who he has just met. I am not surprised with his question and the idea accompanying it because I knew his frankness well. On the other hand, I was observing the other two witnesses on how they would react. Fortunately, I could not see any reaction from their faces, or they just know how to conceal it.

Expectation=Disappointment

It has always been one of my rules in life to “expect for the worst, yet hope for the best”. Perhaps the main reason why I adapt to this idea is because I don’t have control over other’s behaviour, or life could be just so unpredictable. Expect less and I could never be disappointed on what I would get.
